Frank Wharton

Mr. Frank Wharton, age 87 of Vernon passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 in Tuscaloosa County.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 26, 2021 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Millport. The family will receive friends Friday from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Vada Fields Wharton, son: Henry Allen Wharton, daughter: Charlotte Ann Wharton, grandson: Stanley Michael Dorsett, brother: James Wharton, and sister: Willitt Wheat.

Survivors include his daughter: Deborah Dorsett (Michael) of Tuscaloosa, brothers: Douglas Wharton of Kennedy, Buren Wharton of Millport, and Charles Wharton of Vernon, sisters: Louise Vail of SC, Catherine Oglesby of McShan, Emma Jean Bolling of Reform, and Patricia Whitehead of Sulligent, grandson: Timothy Michael Dorsett of Moundville, and three great-grandchildren: Andrew McCaleb Dorsett, Ethan Kage Dorsett, and Jaydon Stanley Dorsett all of Gordo.
