Evalene Smith

Mrs. Evalene Kilpatrick Smith, age 96 of Berry, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Cordova Health and Rehab.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 12-noon from Bible Missionary Church in Berry. Burial will follow in Salem Nazarene Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state Thursday from 11-A.M. till 12-noon at the church.Officiating is Roger Mertens Ill, Robert Yerby, Terrence Andrews and Carroll Smith. 

She was a faithful wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was a godly lady who served as a minister's wife for more than 50 years. She was a loving caregiver and Granny to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend King David Smith; son, Richard Smith; step great grandson, Tanner Hamilton; parents, William and Lethie Kilpatrick; siblings, Leslie, Grady and Brady Kilpatrick, Pernie Perkins and Verta Mae Banks. 

She is survived by her sons, William (Linn) Smith of Parrish, and Aaron (Kathy) Smith of Berry; grandchildren, Sherry Smith of Parrish, Ricky (Katie) Smith of Tuscaloosa, Tonya Smith of Parrish, Michell (Chris) Busbee of Berry, David (Amy) Smith of Berry and Miranda (Terrence) Andrews of Decatur; 13 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren (Baby Smith due in August); 3 step great great grandchildren; along with a host of loving nephews and nieces. 

Pallbearers will be David Smith, Chris Busbee, Austin Smith, Mason Smith, Triston Smith, Micah Andrews, Riley Stone and Keith Smith. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Smith, Hayden Smith, Trace Deavours, Jackson Smith, Jaden Smith, Braylen Smith, Bentley Smith and Easton Smith.
