Mrs. Emma Fowler age 83, of Carbon Hill passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pearidge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents: David and Velva Gillion, husband: John Fowler, sister: Doris "Red" Haley, and three brothers: JD "Monk" Gillion, Roy Gillion, and Deloyd "Bud" Gillion.
Survivors include one son: Donald Louis Fowler of Arley, one daughter: Debra Lee Barker of Carbon Hill, one brother: Charles Gillion of Winfield, two sisters: Betty Gunter of Peterson, and Nell Springfield of Carbon Hill, four grandchildren: Jason Barker of Vernon, Amanda Robbins (Brandon) of Berry, Katrina Swafford (Henry) of Navoo, and Chris Fowler of Cullman, seven great-grandchildren: McKinley Swafford, James Swafford, and Isaac Swafford all of Navoo, Breana Simmons, Reina Robbins, and Ladawn Norris all of Berry, and Chloe Barker of Vernon, and one great-great-granddaughter: Brexlyn Swafford of Navoo.
