Emily Sapp

Mrs. Emily Sapp, age 86 of Fayette, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home. Bro. Leland Sapp, Bro. Jeffery Milligan, and Bro. Drew Self will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Zender and Nancy Makemsom, husband: Malcolm Sapp, daughter: Deborah Fowler, and a grandson: Timothy J. Sapp.

Survivors include two sons: Jerry Sapp (Nancy) of Northport, Preston Sapp (Inez) of Fayette, three daughters: Diane Earnest (Foster) of Berry, Patricia Kimbrell (Doug) of Oakman, and Kathy Self (Charles) of Berry, eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. 

Honorary pallbearers are: Ernie Mae Bonner, Amy Lowery, Sandra Earnest, Gertrude Caine, Lois Sherrill, Doris Logan, Danny Stough, Red Simmons, and her medical team.

Active pallbearers will be: Phil Sherrill, Dusty Sherrill, Wayne Duckworth, Chris Fowler, Adam Sapp, and Drew Self.
