Ely Williams

Mr. Ely Williams, age 83 of Fayette, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 14, 2020 at 3-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:30-3 P.M. at the funeral home. Bro. Scott Davis and Bro. Clyde Stevens will officiate.

Survivors include his wife: Shirley Williams of Fayette, daughter: Donna Elmore of Fayette, son: Tommy Williams (Robin) of Fayette, one brother: Roy Williams of Tuscaloosa, three sisters: Catherine Williams of Tuscaloosa, Sara Malone (Newton) of Tuscaloosa, and Grace Cargile (James) of Fayette, and three grandchildren: Alex and Allen Williams, and Ryan Strickland.

Honorary pallbearers are: Dr. Fred Yerby, Dr. Harold Breitling, Robert Maddox, Doug Williams, Willie "Jim" Markham, Bill Sanford, Terry Stripling, Lorene Long, and Kelly Cunningham.

Active pallbearers will be: Ryan Strickland, Alex Williams, Allen Williams, Marty Cargile, Buddy Strickland, and Josh Jackson.
