Elizabeth Ann Watkins Pritchett, age 88, of Fayette, Alabama, entered her Heavenly home at her residence in Lake View, AL on Sunday February 8, 2026.
She was born to the late Willie Elmer (Johnnie) Watkins Sr. on June 17, 1937 in Fayette, Alabama.
God gave her a love for kids that led her to open a babysitting business for many years at her house on the Pritchett Farm.
She was a good neighbor who loved to help people. She also loved to laugh, attend Southern Gospel concerts especially ones with The Inspirations Quartet, watch Alabama Crimson Tide football, and gardening.
However, above all else, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and reading His Word.
We will never know on this side of Heaven how much Mrs. Pritchett made an impact on her family and friends for God’s kingdom. We will miss her but look forward to that glad reunion day.
Special thanks to the Hospice of West Alabama and Tammie Keeton-Reynolds who took care of her and to all of the friends who have showed love and support to her family during her final days.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, John Wilton “J.W.” Pritchett and parents, Willie Elmer (Johnnie) Watkins Sr.
Survivors to cherish her memory include her son Mike (Amy) Pritchett, 3 Grandchildren, Gwendolyn Pritchett, Anthony Pritchett, and Annalyn Pritchett, and Brother Willie Elmer (Rachel) Watkins Jr.
