Dr. Russell A. Lamoureux

Dr. Russell A. Lamoureux, DMD, age 57 of Tuscaloosa passed away on April 19, 2025. He was born in Fayette, Alabama on February 20,1968 to Robert and Bobbie Lamoureux and was a 1986 graduate of Fayette County High School.

Russell was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred Sr. and Marie Lamoureux, James and Vera Bowen, and sister Vallischa Lamoureux. He is survived by Casey Taylor and Genesis Lee of Tuscaloosa, two children Russell (Virginia Ann) Lamoureux Jr. and Emma Grace Lamoureux, his parents Robert and Bobbie Lamoureux of Fayette, brother Barry (Hope Ann) Lamoureux of Cullman as well as 3 nieces, a nephew, 4 great nephews, and 4 great nieces.

Russell graduated from the UAB School of Dentistry in 1993 and established a practice in Tuscaloosa, where he served the community for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved his family and friends wholeheartedly. He regularly contributed to the West Alabama Food Bank, and continued donations in his memory are greatly appreciated.

The arrangements will be held at St. Francis of Assisi University Parish with Nelson Funeral Home servicing the family.  Visitation will begin Friday, April 25, 2025 at 2 PM with the funeral mass beginning at 3 PM. Private interment will follow at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers include the FCHS Class of 1986, Will Ayres, Chase Ayres, Jason Ayers, and Brian Sweatt.
