Derek Morgan

Mr. Derek Morgan, age 39 of Fayette, passed away July 8, 2023 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 2-P.M. from Southside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at the church. Bro. Robert Parrish, Mark Brown, and Matt Watkins will officiate.

Survivors include his wife: Bethanie Morgan of Fayette, special foster children, parents: O.P. and Debbie Morgan of Fayette, sisters: Devon Eason (Bradley) and Kayla Stripling, both of Fayette, nieces and nephews: Grady Bullock, Tuff Stripling, Jadyn Bullock, Tripp Eason, Piper Stripling, Jase Eason, Paxton Dean, and Georgia Dean.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Pete and Mary Morgan, and Dorothy Englebert, and uncle: Danny Dodson.

Honorary pallbearers are cousins.

Active pallbearers will be: Richard Morgan, Russell Morgan, Nick Hodges, Jared Hodges, Jacob Morgan, Blake Martin, Grady Bullock, Tuff Stripling, Tripp Eason, and Jase Eason.
