Mr. Dennis Traweek, age 63 of Berry, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 1-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Hopewell-Rosehill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10-A.M. till 1-P.M. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Jo Ann Dawkins Simpson, father: Elmer Ray Traweek, sisters: Regina Lunsford, Rhonda Traweek, brother: David Traweek, paternal grandparents: Joseph and Opal Traweek, maternal grandparent: Shorty and Edith Dawkins.
Survivors include his wife: Debra Traweek of Berry, son: Joshua Hollis of Fayette, daughter: Vickie Hollis of Berry, brother: Thomas Jeff Traweek (Von) of Oakman, grandchildren: Hali Adams (Justin), Lillian Traweek, Steve Eason, Gavin Hollis, Shawn Waltrip, Rayanna Waltrip, and two great-grandchildren: Lilly Adams, and Wade Adams.
Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Alabama football, playing cards, cooking out and spending time with his grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers are: Justin Adams, Jeff Norris, William Traweek, and RC logging crew.
Active pallbearers will be: TJ Traweek, Lucky Traweek, Gavin Hollis, Shaun Waltrip, James McGuire, and Wayne Holcomb.
