Obituary

Mr. Daniel R. Kelley, age 76 of Northport, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at Northport Medical Center.

Daniel was a member of Salem Baptist Church and a retired coal miner of 29 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Ovall Kelley.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years: Glenda Kelley, two sons: Michael Ray Kelley, and Randall Lee Kelley (Kalen), sister: Sharon Campbell (Stanley), three grandchildren: William Daniel Kelley (Mary), Saharra Kelley, Wallen Craig Kelley, three great-grandchildren: Liam and Cayden Kelley, Ava Grace Kelley, one aunt: Ruth Cannon, four cousins: Gary Mims (Becky), Larry Mims (Ann), Linda Bonner, and Judy Mullenix. 

Daniel had five remaining friends, some have gone on to be with the Lord, Kenny Gilliam a forever friend, Jack Miller the brother he never had, they worked together for many many years on the long wall in the coal mines, Kevin Edmonson they cut and baled a lot of hay, Jerry Cannon and John Kuykendall. 

Honorary pallbearers are: Dr. John Warren, Dr. Fred Yerby, Dr. Sakina Kamel, Dr. Jeanie Lipscomb, Dr. Azam, Northport DCH ICU, his community of Samantha, and a host of friends and neighbors.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date and will be officiated by Bro. Clyde Stevenson.
