Chris Whitley Obituary
Mr. Chris Whitley, age 52 of Fayette, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at the Fayette Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 1-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. David Sullivan and Adam Smith will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his father: Kenneth Whitley.
Survivors include his mother: Dorothy Whitley of Fayette, brothers: Stanley Whitley (Mary) of Winfield, and Ricky Whitley of Birmingham, sister: Debbie Tripp (Wayne) of Alabaster, nephew: Wade Whitley (Jennifer) and their children: Brandon and Holly, special family members: Ronald, Angie, and Kylie Stough.
Honorary pallbearers are: Fayette County Sheriffs Department.
Active pallbearers will be: Ronald Stough, Jamey Bozeman, Rodney Ingle, Byron Yerby, Mark Atkinson, and Chris Hubbert.
A special thanks to Dr. Fred Yerby, Dr. Chuck Nolen, NP Hillary Gant, and all the nurses at Fayette Medical Center.
