Charles Williams

Mr. Charles Williams, age 86 of Fayette, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at his daughters residence. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 10-A.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Bluff. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9-10 A.M. at the funeral home. 

He was preceded in death by his parents: Clinton and Allie B. Williams, brother: W.C. Williams, sister-in-law: Betty Ann Williams, and niece: Teresa Sanders. 

Survivors include his son: Daryl Williams (Jamie) of Pell City, daughter: Shana Selman (David) of Fayette, sister: Etheleen Ballinger (Linton) of Knoxville, TN, five grandchildren: McKayla Williams, Holly Parson, Nicholas Selman (Tanner), Lillianna Selman, and Brayden Lowe, and six great-grandchildren: Piper Oden, Charlie Oden, Baylor Oden, Olleigha Parson, Talley Selman, and Tylyn Selman. 

Honorary pallbearers are: Access Hospice of Jasper, Fayette Medical Center and DCH Regional employees. 

Active pallbearers will be: David Selman, Nicholas Selman, Kristopher Parson, Brayden Lowe, David Porter, and Patrick Webb.
