Carolyn Patterson Smith

Mrs. Carolyn Smith, age 86 of Berry, passed away Saturday at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 4-P.M. from New Hope Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 P.M. at the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years; Sammie Smith, her sons; Wade Smith, and Randy Smith, parents; William and Miriam Hallman Patterson, her brothers; Rayburn Patterson (Elmina), Sim T. Patterson (Elouise), David Patterson (Barbara), her sisters; Clarice Harbin (Buford), Juanita Gray (Cecil), Nell Hixon (Jim), and Oleta Hayes (Andy).

Survivors include her sons; Ricky Smith (Tammi), Tommy Smith (Teresa), Bryan Smith (Tonya), grandchildren; Jeremy Smith (Robin), Kerri Gay (Neal), Kasey Burroughs, Summer Potts (Don), Daniel Smith (Ryan), Teia Appling (Rusty), including a host of great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, brothers; Gene Patterson (Vernamae), Kendall Patterson (Joy), and a sister; Sylvia Beasley.

Honorary pallbearers are; nurses and staff of West Alabama Hospice, caregivers, members of New Hope Baptist Church, nurses and staff of Dr. George Miller and Dr. John Miller, and Alzheimer's of Central Alabama, 

Active pallbearers will be; Wade Smith, Mark Smith, Hunter Smith, Brennan Gay, Ronnie Patterson, Glenn Gray, Wayne Patterson, and Mike Smith.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to Hospice of West Alabama, or New Hope Baptist Church cemetery.
