Brooke Marie Lawrence

Brooke Marie Lawrence, age 35, of Brilliant, Alabama, passed away on January 9, 2026, at Walker Baptist. She was born on October 31, 1990, in Iowa City, Iowa.

Brooke was the beloved daughter of her mother, Cathie Craig, and stepfather, Calvin Craig, and of her father, Brian Miller. She was also lovingly raised for many years by Shawn Smothers, who held a special place in her life. She was blessed with loving grandparents who were an important part of her world. Brooke is also survived by her brother, Colton Smothers, and her sister, Alexis Frost, along with a large and devoted circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished her deeply.

Brooke shared her life with her partner, Ryan Coan, and was the devoted mother of three children who meant the world to her: Riley Johnson (15), Shyanne Cox (10), and her newborn son, Noah Coan.

Brooke had a gentle spirit and a heart full of love. She was happiest caring for animals and found her greatest joy in being a mother. Her compassion, warmth, and unwavering love for her family will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Winfield City Family Church on Saturday, January 17, at 2:00 P.M.
