Bob Black

Mr. Bob Black, age 86 of Fayette, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11-A.M. from Shepherd Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state Friday from 10-11 A.M. at the church. A visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Nelson Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Mary Lee Smith Black, son; Sam Black, son-in-law; Darrell Burkett, and a sister; Polly Howard.

Survivors include his wife; Rachel Black of Fayette, son; Scott Black (Dana) of Huntsville, daughter; Dana Burkett of Fayette, sister; Betty Newman of Fayette, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers are; Hospice of Alabama, Dr. Fred Yerby, Debbie's Drugs and Members of Shepherd Baptist Church.

Active pallbearers will be; Joshua Burkett, Tyler Black, Rusty Henry, Blake Black, Phillip Howard, David Baker, and Corey Baker.
