Billie Ruth Wilson

Mrs. Billie Ruth Wilson, age 83 of Fayette, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025 at her residence. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12-2 P.M. at the funeral home. Bro. Barry Kelly and Bro. Robert Parrish will officiate. 

She was preceded in death by her parents: Cecil and Sarah Jo Watkins, brothers: Don Watkins and Ralph Watkins, and a sister: Dot Sanford. 

Survivors include her husband: Brooks Wilson of Fayette, son: Russell Wilson of Fayette, daughters: Kristi Fisher (Robert), Kelli Porter (Jason), and Kasey Kennedy (Brad) all of Fayette, brothers: Mickey Watkins (Annette) of Kennedy, Mackey Watkins (Marilyn) of Belk, sister: Katherine Newman (Larry) of Shoal Creek, seven grandchildren: Ashton Lay (Jeremy), Caitlin Bruce (Johnny), Brady Fisher, Sarah Hayes (Holden), Paige Walker (Devin), Ensleigh Kennedy, and Bentley Kennedy, and eleven great-grandchildren. 

Honorary pallbearers are: Hospice of Northwest Alabama, special thanks to Ashley Thompson, and April Stowe. 

Active pallbearers will be: Brady Fisher, Bentley Kennedy, Jeremy Lay, Johnny Bruce, Holden Hayes, and Devin Walker. 

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to Hope's Choice of Alabama.
