Mrs. Angela Hannah, age 63 of Vernon passed away Monday August 24,2020 at Fayette Medical center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 2-P.M. from Berry Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Ashcraft Corner Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1-2 P.M. at the church.
Angie was born July 8, 1957 in Columbus, MS to Troy & Adelle Gladden Hassell of Fayette, AL.
She grew up and attended school in Fayette. Growing up, she loved spending time with her Grandmother, Ruby, cooking and gardening. She was a kind and giving soul. Angie always made friends easily. She worked for many years at McCoy Manufacturing in Vernon, AL and later in life at her sister-in-law’s restaurant, where one of her greatest joys was making desserts and chatting with the regular customers who she grew to quickly love. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking and spending time with her family. She loved them more than anything.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, William Earl Hannah of Vernon, AL. Her daughter, Cassie (Wesley) Barrentine of Berry, AL. Stepdaughters, Amy Howard of Sulligent, AL and Lisa Norris, of Columbus, MS. Grandchildren, Brandtley & Zander Barrentine of Berry, AL, Jennifer (David) Supsky of Shepherdsville, KY, Danielle Howard of Caledonia, MS, William Robert (Stephanie) Hannah of Columbus, MS, Travis (Jessica) Howard of Crossville, TN, Stacy (Daniel) Perkins of Ethelsville, AL and Paige Townley (Jacob) of Reform, AL, and fifteen great grandchildren. A brother, Dennis Hassell of Pineville, LA, and a host of friends, nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Eleanor “Midge” Lee and Maureen Waters, and a brother, David Hassell. Her father, Troy Hassell and a grandson, Terry Norris.
