Mrs. Ruby Brock, age 80 of Pell City, formerly of Fayette, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Village of Cooks Springs in Pell City.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 at 1-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery in Lamar County. The family will receive friends Monday from 11-A.M. till 1-P.M. at the funeral home. Bro. Lon Dee Moon and Bro. James Howard will officiate.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary B. Lewis (Roger), sisters, Frankie Watkins Shaffer (Butch), Judy Watkins Hunter (Larry), grandchildren, Brad Smith (Brookes), David Brock (Joanie), Lisa Kirby (Brandon), Joseph Huffstetler, Tracie Lewis, Lyndie Lewis, Scott Lewis (Misty), great-grandchildren, Hudson Smith, Savannah Smith, D.J. Brock, Penelope Tidmore, and Harrison Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert H. Brock, Jr., son, H. David Brock (Nelda), parents, Oscar U. and Alice N. Watkins, and a brother, Marshall Watkins (Gay).
Ruby Nell was born June 4, 1938 to Alice Nell Ham and Oscar Underwood Watkins. She grew up in Winfield, AL and graduated from Winfield High School in 1952 and was married in 1958 to Albert Houston Brock, Jr. they had two children, Horace David Brock and Mary Kimberly (Brock) Lewis. Ruby Nell was a member of Little Hope Primitive Baptist Church. She worked until she was 72 when she retired from Wells Fargo.
Pallbearers will be: Roger Lewis, Brad Smith, Brandon Kirby, Joseph Huffstetler, David Brock, and James Howard.
