Ricky Wyers Obituary

Mr. Ricky Wyers age 67 of Fayette, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at Fayette Long Term Care.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife; Brenda Wyers of Winfield, one son; Josh Wyers of Winfield, three daughters; Cassie Wyers Locke of Tuscaloosa, Kristy Wyers Graham of Fayette, and Carrie Wyers Miller (Christopher) of Clesea, one sister; Shirley Britnell of Fayette, and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Vester and Evelyn Brasher Wyers, sister; Nell Tyner, brothers-in-law; Rob Tyner, IJ Britnell, and father and mother-in-law; Hollis Ray and Nita Perry.

Mr. Wyers grew up in Bankston and is a graduate of Berry High School. He was a long time employee of OK Tires, Helig-Meyers, and Walmart. He was a die-hard Alabama and Atlanta Braves fan. He loved his family, westerns, and sports of all kinds.

Active pallbearers will be: Tommy Tyner, Derek Brittnell, James Tidwell, George Trawick, Bobby Hathcock, Rod Johnson, and Jon Evan Stovall.
 

Honorary pallbearers are; Fayette Long Term Care, Darrell Britnell, and Tom Simpson.
