Linda Thornton Obituary

Mrs. Linda Thornton, age 62 of Fayette, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11-A.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband: Ulyses Grant Thornton Jr., son: Ulyses Grant Thornton III (Jessica), daughter: Chasity Thornton Hollis (Rodney), brother: David Sanford (Bobbie), sisters: Rose Whitson (Milford), Pat White (Sonny), Janice Files (Terrell), grandchildren: Heather Moore Swindle (Chase), Erica Moore, Haley Craig (Joseph), Hanna Hollis, Hallie Hollis, Haven Hollis, and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents: James Charlie Sanford and Rose Joyce Skipper Sanford, sister: Sarah Ann Sanford, brothers: James Charlie Sanford Jr., and Timothy Allen Sanford.
