Jonathan Wilson

Mr. Jonathan Wilson, age 68 of Fayette, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at DCH Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 12-Noon from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held Saturday from 11-12-Noon at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife; Katherine Poe Wilson of Fayette, daughter; Jasmine Wilson of Fayette, brothers; Billy Wilson of Helena, Guy Wilson of Fayette, and Tim Wilson of Myrtle Beach, SC, sisters; Ann Nalls of Fayette, Darnella Phillips of Villa Rica, GA, Angela Williams of Fayette, and Connie Hewitt of Moundville, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; James Earnest and Willie Dean Wilson, and a brother; James Curtis Wilson.

Jonathan Wilson was born March 10, 1951 in Fayette, AL to James Earnest and Willie Dean Wilson. He gained his heavenly wings at the age of 68 and went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2019 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Jonathan was baptized at First Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Rev. J.H. Thompson and was a faithful member of the male choir. A a loyal and dedicated employee of Fayette Cotton Mill until it's closing. He continued his labor Showa Manufacturing of Fayette until he retired. He spent the rest of his days enjoying his family and grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be; Rashaun Robinson, Alexander Shaw, Shon Shaw, Michael Nalls, Chris Wilson, Jonathon Wilson, Roman Cowart, and Stacy Cochran.
