Jerry Dwight Aldridge

Mr. Dwight Aldridge, age 71 of Kennedy, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Fayette Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 3-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Meadow Branch Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-3 P.M. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife: Betty Aldridge of Kennedy, two sons: Phillip Aldridge (Tina) of Kennedy, Rodney Aldridge (Tammy) of Columbus, MS, one daughter: Patty Fowler (Carlton) of Northport, one sister: Anglyn Holloway of Northport, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. 

He was preceded in death by his parents: Murry Davis Aldridge and Letha Nelson Aldridge and a brother: Edsel Aldridge.

Mr. Aldridge was a loving husband and caregiver to his wife of 54 years. He was a wonderful, humble father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He retired from Weyerhaeuser after 26 years where he was affectionately known as "seemore".

Honorary pallbearers are: Eugene Foster, Scott Foster, David Foster, Darrell Foster, Lance Sexton, Lee Aldridge, and Jim Barnes.

Active pallbearers will be: Donnie Foster, Shane Foster, Randy oster, Michael Foster, Keith Aldridge, and Jeff Holloway.
