Mr. Delmer Bowles, age 92 of Fayette, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Fayette Long Term Care.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 3-P.M. from Southside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2-3 P.M. at the church. Bro. Robert Parrish and Bro. Russ McDonald will officiate.
Survivors include one son; Tommy Bowles (Becky) of Echola, one daughter; Diane B. Wilson of Fayette, one sister; Kay Roby (Roland) of Eldridge, five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Fred and Maudie Moore Bowles, wife; Bessie "Bet" Bowles, daughter; Phyllis DeSimone, son; Danny S. Bowles, granddaughter; Peyton Bowles, son-in-law; Butch Wilson, sisters; Geraldine Bowles, Dorothy Baker, Eva Stough, and brother; Theodore Bowles.
Mr. Bowles was a life long resident of Fayette County and retired from Arvin Industries. He was a long time member of Southside Baptist Church. Mr. Bowles was an avid outdoorsman and served his country in WWII. He was married to Bet Bowles for 68 years.
Pallbearers will be; Mark Campbell, Clay McDonald, Russ McDonald, DeRann Roby, Dennis Bowles, and Dewayne Roby.
Honorary pallbearers are; Morningview Estates Staff, FMC LTC Staff, Dr. Fred Yerby, and members of Southside Baptist Church.
