Clemmie Nelson Obituary

Mrs. Clemmie Nelson age 82 of Fayette, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11-A.M. from Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state Wednesday from 10-11 A.M. at the church. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Nelson Funeral Home. Bro. Randy Anderson will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Johnny and Ellen Porter Goree, brother: Clifton Earl Goree, and a grandson: Aaron Stamps.

Survivors include her husband: Donald Nelson of Fayette, son: Wayne Nelson (Susan) of Fayette, daughter: Shirley Stamps of Fayette, brother: Melvin Goree (Wanda) of NC, sisters: Alpha Williams (Billie) of Enterprise, Linda Reedy (Stan) of KY, Patsy Hocutt (Johnny) of Fayette, three grandchildren: Cassie Mettler of SC, Keela Purser of MS, Katy Racey of MI, and four great-grandchildren: Tristan Stamps, Jack, Liby, and Benji Purser.

Pallbearers will be: Phillip Elliot, Edward Nelson, Robert Nelson, Miles Wright, Stanley Williams, and Ronnie Goree.
