Cecil Deavours

Mr. Cecil Deavours, age 88 of Berry, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Hospice of West Alabama.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11-A.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery-Berry. Bro. Tim Fields will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 1011 a.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife: Betty Nelson Deavours of Berry, daughter: Cecelia Campbell (Roy) of Berry, two sisters: Juanita Guy and Agnes Freeman, both of Northport, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was a member of Berry Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a son: Carl Mitchell Deavours, parents: Marion J. and Paralee Johnson Deavours, brother: Gorman "Pap" Deavours, and sister: Virginia Woods.

Pallbearers will be: Randall Simmons, John Walker, David Shepherd, Frank Woods, Jimmy Clark, Phil Shepherd, and Todd Deavours.

Honorary pallbearers will be : Ira Smith,Wayne Nelson,Tom Ellard, Bill Cook,Richard Walker, Eddie Moore,Larry Moore and Scott Moore.
