Bettie Nelson

Mrs. Bettie C. Nelson, age 75 of Berry, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at her residence.
    Our sweet mother went to be with her Lord and Savior. She is survived by the love of her life for 55 years, Bobby J. Nelson, her special daughter, Lisa Nelson, daughter, Sheena N. Davis (Ken), son, Tim Nelson, two grandchildren who were the love of her life: Timothy Trace Nelson and Sophie Grace Nelson. She was the heart of her family. She spent most of her life taking care of Lisa, she was mommas angel on earth. Trace and Sophie was loved by their Nana. Other survivors include her sisters: Carolyn Bowen of Gordo and Bobbie Lamoureux of Fayette, and a host of nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Vera Bowen, and two brothers: Billy Bowen and Marlin Bowen.
    Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 11 A.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Bro. Phillip Bonner and Bro. Curry Bennett will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers will be: Tom Treadway, Tom Ellard, Dale Brown, Lance Brown, Russell Lamoureux, Keith Edmonson, Kevin Edmonson, and Eldon Sides.
