Mr. Andrew Whitson, age 68 of Fayette, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Fayette Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11-A.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife: Annie Ruth Whitson of Fayette, one son: Andrew R. Whitson III of Tuscaloosa, one daughter: Shika Prewitt of Huntsville, sisters: Olivian Wilson and Evelene Lee both of Fayette, and Wanda Owens (Jerry) of Columbus, MS, brothers: Ezell Whitson, Gilbert Gay (Marie) both of Fayette, Julius Whitson of Fort Wayne, IN, Nathaniel Whitson of Detroit, MI, and Jimmy Ray Whitson (Cathy) of Columbus, MS, and three grandchildren: Elijah, Tre, and Kia Prewitt.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Andrew Robert Whitson, Sr., and Minnie Lee Whitson, and a brother: Early Henry.
Honorary pallbearers are: Freddy Haley, Jr., ans Quincy Stowe.
Active pallbearers will be: Ronnie Enis, Sharod Richardson, Herron West, Thomas Lee, Tim Walker, and Charlie Ed Wilson.
