Alice Benton

Mrs. Alice Benton, age 98 of Fayette, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 in Hueytown.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 1-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery (Gumbud). The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12-1 P.M. at the funeral home. Dr. Dale Mitchell will officiate.

Survivors include two sons: Derry Joe Benton of Hueytown and Robert Wayne Benton (Jan) of Pinson, daughter: Janice Kaye Benton Edwards (Jerry Dean) of Bessemer, eight grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: William Thomas Benton, grandson: Derry Joe Benton, Jr., parents: William Thomas Kelly Williamson and Sallie Norris Williamson, and siblings: Clyde Williamson. Phynes Williamson, Lois W. Cannon, Edna Savage, and Kathlene Savage.

Honorary pallbearers are; Jerry McNeal, T.J. Benton, and Keith Davis.

Active pallbearers will be; Shayne Benton, Tyler Benton, Tom Jenkins, John Scott, Terry Butler, and Chris Benton.
