Walter Doughty

Mr. Walter Doughty, Jr. was born on March 28, 1975 in Winfield, Alabama. Walter departed his earthly life on March 16, 2023.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 1-P.M. from New Friendship Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state Thursday from 12-1 P.M. at the church. Dean South and Charlie Humphrey will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Grace Doughty, his uncle Fondee Doughty, a niece Leigha Doughty, and two nephews:Christopher Doughty, Michael Doughty, and Earnest Hayden.

Walter leaves to cherish his memories that he shared with his loving wife: Caroline Doughty, his daughter: Aishea Doughty (Jonathan Griffin), his son: Tevin Doughty, his mother: Maxine Hayden, two sisters: Christa Doughty and Regina Doughty, his niece: Tamika Doughty, three step-daughters and one step-son: Christian Wallace, Kayla Davis (Austin Ritts), Savannah Davis and Sierra Davis, Walter also leaves behind nine grandchildren whom he loved so much: Ja'Maya Griffin, Ja'Liya Griffin, Ja'Michael Griffin, Chance Doughty, Matthew Davis, Kiyra Hale, Braxton Davis, Ja Wallace, and Cali Wallace.

Honorary pallbearers are: Ja'Michael Griffin, Chance Doughty, Jaylii Stowe, Braxton Davis, Matthew Davis, Justus Doughty, and Jerome Swanigan.

Active pallbearers will be: Stacey Smith, Demetrius Summers, Demetrius Young, Juawn Carr, Austin Rite, and Roy Smith.
