Frankie Dale McCafferty

Mr. Frankie Dale McCafferty, age 54 of Fayette, passed away March 14, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in New Liberty FWB Church Cemetery. Bro. Adam Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home.

He was preceded by his father: Frank McCafferty, mother: Susie Traweek Taylor, sister: Glenda Anita Thacker, brother: Mark Stough, brother: Johnny McCafferty, sister: Juanita Stough, and grandparents.

Survivors include his companion: Katie Watkins Tanner, father: Paul Edwin Taylor, daughters: Kristin Dale McCafferty and Saylor Kate McCafferty, brothers: Timothy Allen McCafferty, Jimmy Dale Stough, Mickey McCafferty, sister: Bonnie Clark, 3 grandchildren: Kaden Dale Ham, Dakotah Glen Jenkins, Christian James Chase.

Frankie was a family man, a brother, a son, a father, a grandpa, a companion, a friend. He did good, in the sense that he did well. He was a prideful man, but he had every right to be prideful because he had so much to be proud of. If you need to know the measure of a man, simply count his friends. He loved nothing more than being surrounded by the people he cared about, the people he loved, and the people who loved him back just as much. Anyone who met him would tell you he's never miss an opportunity to tell you how proud he was of his daughters and grandchildren. He thought the world of his 3 grandsons and they adored him just as much. "He did good", also means that he did good things. He made the world a better place by being in it. He has the biggest heart, he would give himself to anyone who needed it and he would give more than he really had without hesitation. We'll always remember that special smile, that caring heart, that warm embrace you always gave. You being there for everyone through the good and bad times no matter what. We'll always remember you because they'll never be another one to replace you in our hearts, and the love we will always have for you.    

Honorary pallbearers will be: Kaden Dale Ham, Dakotah Glen Jenkins, Christian James Chase, Fayette County Sheriff's Office, Fire Department, Hospice of West Alabama, all First Responders in Fayette County.

Active pallbearers will be: Tarrant McCafferty, Clifton Hallmark, David Watkins, Timothy Benefield, Devan Jones, and Stevie Taylor.
