Rev. Kenneth Beard, age 69, of Fayette, passed away November 21, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fayette Memorial Gardens. Bro. Mike Trull and Bro. Billy Carl Sullivan will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife: Diane Beard of Fayette, sons: Lance Beard (Dana) of GA, Richard Beard (Ashley) of Tuscaloosa, daughters: Cindy Orrick (Steven) of Russellville, Diane Logan (Roger) of CA, brother: Billy Beard (Peggy) of New Hope, MS, sisters: Pam Brand (Steve) of GA, Fran Heptinstall (Bill) of Opelika, Donna Callahan (William) of Vernon, 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Sara Harris Beard, and one sister, Sara Hattaway.
Pallbearers will be: Eddie Williams, Howard C. Agnew, Belton Horton, Skippy Hocutt, Jerry Fulmer, Tony O'Rooke, and Kelly James.
