Jake Garrison

Mr. Jake Garrison 95 of Fayette passed away Wednesday February 21, 2018 at Fayette Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 25 at 2-P.M. from Fayette Church of Christ. The family will receive friends Sunday, one hour prior to services from 1-2 P.M. at Fayette Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Fayette Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his daughter and son in law: Gina and Dr. David Howton of Winnsboro, TX, grandson: Russell Howton (Skyler) and two great-grandsons: Oliver and Rex all of Dallas, TX, brothers: Johnny Garrison (Katherine) of Tuscaloosa, Donald Garrison of Birmingham, sister in law: Robbie Jones Benton of Fayette, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents: James Presley and Susie Herren Garrison, wife: Estelle Jones Garrison, grandson: Matt Howton, brothers: Clayton Garrison (Early), Teamus Garrison (Betty), and sister in law: Edith Garrison. Mr. Garrison was a businessman in Fayette for over 60 years, operating Garrison Furniture Store. He was a member of the Fayette Church of Christ. He was also a World War II veteran. Pallbearers will be Mr. Garrisons nephews: Jerry Garrison, Tim Garrison, Miles Garrison, Kent Garrison, Chuck Garrison, Greg Garrison, and Jimmy Jones.
